Rank Holiday Weekend

Well that was a rubbish Bank Holiday, wasn't it? Poor Jess was at a Scout camp for the weekend as well. She came back soaked and cold, but she had a good time.

We went to Victoria's in Kent on Saturday for her 40th. Luckily it didn't rain that day as it was a garden party.

We had a bit of a scare on Friday, when Ele took Joe to the doctor as he had a boil on his leg that wasn't going away. The doctor thought he might have diabetes and so wanted to do a test. Luckily it came back negative.

Joe is talking so much now. He puts words together now, so rather than just "juice" when he wants so more, he might say "more juice daddy" or "mummy shoes on". A couple of weeks ago he was saying "Oh, no!" to almost everything which made us all laugh a lot. The other day one of his chicken dippers was a bit burnt so he proclaimed it "dirty". Didn't stop him eating it though.

The big news is we're moving house! Well, we haven't got our house on the market yet, although we've had it valued. I need to try and sort out a mortgage, which I've booked this Friday off work to do. Once that's done, we can put it on and look for a new place. The reason for the move is that if we stay where we are, Joe will end up in a rubbish primary school on a council estate. There is a very good school just down the road, so it's either a choice of move there, and then Jess can stay at the high school she got into, or move further afield (possibly Epsom, if my work relocates to Leatherhead as expected), and move her to a different high school as well. Not sure how that works as she hasn't even started high school yet.

Therefore the next few months are likely to be stressful and busy. I'd say that it won't give me much time to update this blog, but I've not been very good at doing that anyway, have I?
